Sing, sing a Psalm

Sing out loud

Sing out strong

Sing of good things not bad

Sing of happy not sad

 Sing, sing a Psalm

Make it simple to last

Your whole life long

Don't worry that it's not

Good enough for anyone

Else to hear

Just sing, sing a Psalm

Psalm 42

1  As a deer longs for flowing streams,

so my soul longs for you, O God.

2  My soul thirsts for God,

    for the living God.

When shall I come and behold

    the face of God?

3  My tears have been my food

    day and night,

while people say to me continually,

    “Where is your God?”

4  These things I remember,

as I pour out my soul:

how I went with the throng,

and led them in procession to the house of God,

with glad shouts and songs of thanksgiving,

    a multitude keeping festival.

5 Why are you cast down, O my soul,

and why are you disquieted within me?

Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,

    my help

6 and my God.

Little needs be added to our study of the Psalms as we show the Lord in praise through thought, prayer and song.

Sunday a time to sing a Psalm.
